Liberty Lake Regional Park is a 3,600-acre gem here in Spokane County. Thousands of people visit each year to swim in the lake, hike the unique trails, marvel at the cedar groves, and camp with their families. This summer may have felt different for those of you who frequent this area as the park and beach have been under construction! The beach area will have new restrooms, a new dock, picnic shelters, and more ADA accessible features. INLC is excited to support another important component of this project – planting native species!
Together with Spokane County Parks, you and the INLC Team will plant 300 native plants along natural watercourses that flow around the parking lot into Liberty Lake to further protect the quality of the water entering the lake.
No planting experience is needed to help with this project! We’ll provide all the tools you need to get the job done, show you how to plant properly, and keep you well-fed during the project! Fill in the form below to register!
