Volunteer Hike Docent, Andi Chatburn (pictured above), will lead a hike at the Slavin Conservation Area on April 29th starting at 6pm. Andi has lived in Spokane with her partner John since 2010 and enjoys engaging trails in all seasons. Whether in boots, snowshoes, alongside one of her two companion Bernese mountain dogs, or on skis, Andi seeks a mindful pace.
This hike will be about 2 miles long and take approximately 2 hours. Come with your binoculars to hike and witness the birds migrating and landing on this rewilded wetland. Easy evening hike with relatively little elevation change. Be sure to bring hiking basics – comfortable, stable shoes that may encounter a bit of mud, 1L water, rain jacket if forecasts predict rain.
