“Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful”
With the cold and long winter ahead of us, come warm up with us at Waikiki Springs Nature Preserve! To reduce fuel load at the preserve, we will burn piles of brush collected by volunteers over the past year. We will host this event from 9:00 am to 3:00pm. We invite you to come during any point and stay as long as you’d like. Snacks and warm beverages will be provided.
While most of the materials have already been staged for this event, we will gather additional debris to burn during this event. INLC will provide any PPE or tools necessary to do these tasks.
If you’d rather stop by and warm up while out hiking your favorite trails, we encourage that too!
