Join hike docent, Mark Merhab, for a guided hike at Cougar Bay Nature Preserve on Saturday, July 20th starting at 9 am. This trail passes through sloped forest of Ponderosa Pine, Tamarack and Douglas fir trees with wetlands that offer a chance to see numerous waterfowl. At the northern portion of the trail there is a great viewing platform of Cougar Bay and Lake Coeur d’Alene!
During this 2.7 mile hike we will discuss some history of John Pointer who owned the land and worked with INLC to complete the conservancy of this tract. Bringing insect repellent as the area has heavy vegetation!
