This outing will feature two specialists sharing their passion and knowledge of a very unique area, Waikiki Springs. For decades Jack Nesbit has been writing about the history of the inland northwest from tribal connections to the land to early pioneer and explorer history. His knowledge of cultural plants and early history is unparalleled. Conor Giorgi is the anadromous fish biologist for the Spokane Tribe of Indians who has been tirelessly working as part of the Upper Columbia Unified Tribes to return salmonids to the inland northwest waters. Participants will be learning as much about uplands as the underwater environments and how much they matter on this outing.
