Volunteer hike docent, Patti Ziegler (pictured to right) is leading a hike at Waikiki Springs on Thursday July 27th starting at 7 am. Patti grew up in the Spokane area and fell in love with the outdoors here. A local snowbird, she became an avid steward of the land as a volunteer at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, which she tells me is America’s largest urban preserve, just outside of Scottsdale, Arizona. Read more on Patti in this Conservancy blog post!
Start your morning off right with this 4 mile long hike taking approximately 2.5 hours to complete. We recommend you bring binoculars for potential Bald Eagle sightings, a hat, water, & snacks. Hiking Poles are also good for hills!
