Events

The Conservancy believes in the power of connecting people to nature. Our events are designed to give participants a unique view of lands we protect and an understanding of why they matter. We also work to instill the value of natural places in our community to raise up a human support structure for the earth here in the Inland Northwest.

June 7th – Palisades Geology Hike with Dr. Chad Pritchard

Dr. Chad Pritchard (EWU Geology professor) shows and tells the highlights of the geological events that formed Palisades Park as we know it today … at the leading edge of the “Channeled Scablands”.

We’ll meet at 9:00am at the Greenwood Parking area. Please make sure you’re dressed for the weather and are wearing sturdy hiking boots or shoes! The end time of the hike will be determined by the group during the hike (what everyone wants to see, what route the group wants to take, etc.), but the walk typically lasts 2-3 hours.

Capacity is limited – register now to reserve your spot.
