Join volunteer hike docent, Patti Ziegler, on Saturday June 8th at Saltese Wetlands for a “Wetland Wander” with former board president and mastermind behind the Saltese Flats restoration, Rob Lindsay.

Wetlands are among the most productive and valuable ecosystems on Earth! They are a hot spot for biodiversity as they provide habitat for a vast array of plant and animal species. They also play essential roles in nutrient cycling, water filtration, and carbon sequestration.

Attending this hike will give you deeper insight into the importance of wetland ecosystems and why your Conservancy works to protect them across the Inland Northwest!

This wetland hike will be about 4 miles long and take approximately 3 hours to complete. Keep an eye on the weather, it will likely be quite warm. Wear proper footwear and bring adequate amounts of water, sunscreen and snacks.
