March 28th – Volunteer Land Steward Training

March 28, 2024 4:00 pm 15

Join us for our spring Volunteer Land Steward training!

The Volunteer Land Steward program is perfect for anyone interested in exploring the lands of our region in a more intimate way – studying the land, monitoring the property for specific improvements or issues, working on small projects to support the land’s function, and working with the stewardship team at the Conservancy to meet stewardship goals.

To become a Volunteer Land Steward, you must complete this training, choose an approved site to help us monitor, and complete an orientation site visit. The training listed here will complete the first step of that training.

During the training, we will:

  • Give you some background on Inland Northwest Land Conservancy – who we are and what we do.
  • Provide more detail about the “VLS” program and what your responsibilities as a steward would be.
  • Go through some safety information.
  • Provide a brief overview of our monitoring software and app, Landscape, which we use to collect and share data in the field.

We will be hosting the training from 4:00-5:30pm at the INLC office, located at 35 W. Main Avenue, Suite 210. Please register below to reserve your seat at the training!
