Waikiki Springs Nature Preserve is a beautiful and loved 95-acre wildlife preserve north of the Little Spokane River near Fairwood. The land is incredibly diverse in vegetation, wildlife, and geology. Inland Northwest Land Conservancy and our volunteers have been hard at work developing new, sustainable trails, thinning unhealthy or dense trees to protect forest health and prevent wildfire, and planting native species to support native plant and wildlife biodiversity! And now we’re ready to scale it up a bit! We’ve got hundreds of plants that need to go in the ground this fall, and we need your help to do that! INLC will provide all the tools, plants, and instructions – all you need to bring are weather-appropriate clothes and good planting vibes! Planting will begin at 9am and will wrap up around noon
