Volunteer hike docent, Patti Ziegler, will lead a hike on Sunday, October 1st starting at 8am. Patti grew up in the Spokane area and fell in love with the outdoors here. A local snowbird, she became an avid steward of the land as a volunteer at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, which she tells me is America’s largest urban preserve, just outside of Scottsdale, Arizona. Read more on Patti in this Conservancy blog post!
This 5 mile hike is rated easy/moderate and will take around 3.5 hours to complete. We recommend you bring a hat, sunscreen, hiking poles, binoculars, water & snack.
