Event Date and Time: Saturday October 26th, 9:00am-1:00pm
Location: Glen Tana, meeting location HERE
We will be beginning our efforts in our forest health practices at our Glen Tana property! Get a chance to explore the Glen Tana property while getting a chance to engage in some very important stewardship work on the land. We will be conducting fuels reduction work to help mitigate fire potential and making sure we have healthy populations of trees.
This will involve removing dead low hanging branches (ladder fuels) from healthy mature trees, and removing smaller trees that are encroaching in the space of other mature trees. We will then be constructing piles to either be burned later this Winter, or to be chipped in the Spring.
INLC will provide snacks and beverages before the event. As well as all necessary PPE and tools for the event.
