Protecting What Makes the Inland Northwest Special: It's In Our Nature

Some things are better left wild, untouched, and unspoiled. From the winding trails we hike, to the rivers we fish, to the forests where wildlife roam—these places define the beauty of the Inland Northwest.

But with rapid growth and development, our wild spaces are disappearing. In the last 30 years, we have helped you – our community – preserve the lands you love for future generations to enjoy.

Together we’ve saved more than 27,000 acres.

Will you help us save 1,060 more?

The iconic Glen Tana property, which meanders along the Little Spokane River, represents one of the last truly wild spaces side-by-side with a thriving population center in Washington State.

Here, moose, elk, deer, coyotes, and eagles roam freely. Two miles of pristine riverfront host salmon reintroduction efforts led by the Spokane Tribe of Indians. Towering ponderosa pines offer shelter to countless creatures, while providing clean air and water for us all. And thanks to a partnership with Washington State Parks, Glen Tana has the potential to become an extension of Riverside State Park—offering miles of new trails and outdoor adventure for the community.

This 1,060-acre property is a critical piece of Spokane’s history and natural beauty. It represents a rare opportunity to protect a wild, undeveloped landscape by safeguarding clean water, providing safe habitats for wildlife, and preserving open spaces where people can connect with nature

The Inland Northwest is growing rapidly, and with that growth comes the threat of losing the wild spaces that make this region so unique. Glen Tana is more than just land—it’s a critical piece of our local ecosystem, providing vital habitats for animals and offering clean air and water to our community. Protecting it is about more than preserving beauty; it’s about safeguarding the future.

Your support helps us:

-Protect 1,060 acres of Glen Tana from development and ensure it remains wild.

-Expand Riverside State Park, adding miles of new trails and outdoor spaces for the community.

-Preserve critical habitats for moose, elk, deer, salmon, and countless other species.

-Fund future conservation projects that protect our region’s natural spaces for generations to come.
