October 4th - Clearwater Team Native Tree Planting
We are so appreciative for Clearwater Paper Company’s support over the years – many critical stewardship projects would not have happened were it not for Clearwater’s partnership. Particularly this spring, when Clearwater helped us to kick off a wildly successful crowd-funding campaign after the burglary of our tool shed and near total loss of our equipment. We are now back up and running with a full suite of tools to help us get crucial land management work done! To connect with the Clearwater team more and showcase our work more directly, we’ll be planting at our new Glen Tana property, a 1,100-acre property full of healthy forests and wildlife along the Little Spokane River. The property once served as a one-of-a-kind dairy and cattle operation, and our Clearwater Paper-sponsored nursery is located just below the historic farmhouse. The final piece of nursery development will be planting about 200 native trees and shrubs to improve the health of the meadow below our new nursery, and provide a buffer between the nursery and the river. And that’s where you come in!
