The Conservancy believes in the power of connecting people to nature. Our events are designed to give participants a unique view of lands we protect and an understanding of why they matter. We also work to instill the value of natural places in our community to raise up a human support structure for the earth here in the Inland Northwest.
Join us on February 8th between 9:00am and 3:30pm at Waikiki Springs as we will be hosting a day of Fire Fuels Reduction work at Waikiki Springs. As a great way to get outdoors during the cold Winter days and partake in our fire fuels reduction efforts. We will be tending a singular fire and adding already prepared slash materials to the burn pile. When we run out of those materials, we will have tools to continue harvesting excess slash materials within our project areas. INLC staff will be providing warm beverages and snacks to fuel participants as well! Please come and partake in this wonderful winter opportunity throughout the day and stay as long as you would like. This work will be focused on the lower portion of the Waikiki Springs trails near or enclosed planting areas. Please stay as long or as little as you would like, even if you would just like to say hello to the INLC staff and other participants.
