Events

The Conservancy believes in the power of connecting people to nature. Our events are designed to give participants a unique view of lands we protect and an understanding of why they matter. We also work to instill the value of natural places in our community to raise up a human support structure for the earth here in the Inland Northwest.

Help Out at Glen Tana Nursery: Fencing & Plant Moving Day

Nursery ImageJoin us on Monday, May 11 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM for a hands-on, feel-good volunteer day as we taking finishing steps on the Nursery expansion.

The purpose of this project is to complete the fence that will go around our new nursery expansion. Once the fence is complete the project will be finished! And we can bring our plants into the nursery and have them safely and efficiently mature over the summer to be used in restoration projects in the Fall.

What to expect:

  • This will likely be one of our more physically demanding projects (lifting heavy items, using fencing tools, digging, and tamping)
  • A fun, relaxed volunteer environment
  • All tools and materials provided by INLC (including gloves, eye protection, and equipment)
  • Snacks and beverages available on-site
  • A chance to learn new skills, connect with others, and make a difference

What to bring:

  • Lunch and any extra snacks you’ll want during the day
  • Sturdy footwear (boots or hiking boots recommended)
  • Pants that cover the entire legs, and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or damaged

Good to know:

  • A portable restroom will be available onsite
  • Dress for the weather and expect a bit of dirt—this is a hands-on project!
