Events

The Conservancy believes in the power of connecting people to nature. Our events are designed to give participants a unique view of lands we protect and an understanding of why they matter. We also work to instill the value of natural places in our community to raise up a human support structure for the earth here in the Inland Northwest.

July 16th Glen Tana Hike with Michael Pinter

Come experience a special preview of Rattlesnake Ridge on the Glen Tana Farm property, with hike docent Michael Pinter on July 16th. The hike will begin at 5:30pm and will be the first evening hike we have offered out at Glen Tana! The route climbs an old road from the dilapidated barns east across the property until curving north to wind its way atop the bluff. On a clear evening, the ridgeline affords magnificent views of Mt Spokane (east), the Little Spokane River Valley (south), and Painted Rocks (west). The round-trip tallies roughly 7 miles with 800′ of gain. Please pack appropriate essentials for the conditions including: water, sunscreen, bug repellent, and a headlamp (JIC). It’s a relatively consistent grade and we’ll maintain at least a 2.5 mph pace with a break for photo ops and snack at the top.
