Events

The Conservancy believes in the power of connecting people to nature. Our events are designed to give participants a unique view of lands we protect and an understanding of why they matter. We also work to instill the value of natural places in our community to raise up a human support structure for the earth here in the Inland Northwest.

Canceled: March 25 – Slavin Conservation Area Birding Hike

Please join volunteer hike docent Liz Melville for a hike around Slavin Conservation Area on Tuesday, March 25th, starting at 9 am. Here, beautiful lakes and wetlands entice native and migratory birds to rest and nest. We will be joined by a birding expert from Spokane Audubon Society.

This 5-6 mile hike will be moderately difficult. There are some small hills, and the trails could be muddy. Bring weather-appropriate clothes, water, and binoculars if you have them. Hiking boots are recommended.

When: Tuesday, March 25th, starting at 9 am

Where: Slavin Conservation Area (click to map to parking area)
