October 18 – Native Species Planting at the Glen Tana Natural Area

October 18, 2025 9:00 am

Date & Time: Saturday, October 18 | 9 a.m.
Location: Glen Tana (directions and details will be provided)
Duration: 3 hours

We’re excited to welcome you to our Glen Tana property along the Little Spokane River for a very special planting event. Together, we’ll start to transform an old cattle grazing field near the river into a vibrant corridor of native plants that will restore wildlife habitat, strengthen ecosystem function, and support the health of the river. Every plant that goes into the ground is part of a lasting legacy for the land and water.

This is more than just a planting – it’s a chance to experience Glen Tana during one of its most beautiful seasons. With the fall colors glowing along the river, volunteers will help set deep roots for the future of this landscape. The Little Spokane is a treasure, and thanks to your help, we’ll be giving it the care it deserves. Come ready to roll up your sleeves, enjoy the scenery, and celebrate the impact we’re making together.

Please bring weather-appropriate layers/clothing, sturdy boots, work gloves if you have them, and a refillable water bottle.

Shovels and other digging tools, work gloves to borrow, drinking water, coffee/tea, snacks will be provided. A reminder email with all the details will be sent a couple days before the event.

Look forward to seeing you there!
