October 31 – Native Species Planting along Hangman Creek

October 31, 2025 9:00 am

Date & Time: Friday, October 31 | 9 a.m.
Location: Grouse Creek Ranch Conservation Easement (directions and details will be provided)
Duration: 4 hours

We’re teaming up with the Spokane Conservation District to restore a stretch of Hangman Creek — and we’d love your help! By planting native species along the streambanks, volunteers will be supporting large woody debris installations that slow the flow of water, improve water quality, and create healthier habitat for wildlife. Every plant in the ground brings us one step closer to a thriving creek corridor.

This is a unique opportunity to roll up your sleeves and make a lasting difference for the health of Hangman Creek — while enjoying access to a stretch of private land that is normally closed to the public. Come help us bring life back to the creek corridor, connect with other conservation-minded folks, and leave knowing you played a part in restoring one of our region’s treasured waterways.

Please bring weather-appropriate layers/clothing, sturdy boots, work gloves if you have them, and a refillable water bottle.

Shovels and other digging tools, work gloves to borrow, drinking water, coffee/tea, snacks will be provided. A reminder email with all the details will be sent a couple days before the event.

Look forward to seeing you there!
