September 19th Volunteer Land Steward Training

The Volunteer Land Steward Program is a great fit for you, if:

  • You want to explore new places and enjoy being active in nature
  • You are interested in citizen science
  • You like taking initiative
  • You are good at educating the public on the work you’re doing and how they can help the land too
  • You like working independently or as part of a small group
  • You are tech savvy and willing to learn our app-based monitoring software
  • You want to be part of a strong stewardship community

 

During this training, we’ll discuss who INLC is and how we steward lands in our region, how you can help us to get good work done on our beloved landscapes, and go through some basic field safety. Once you’ve completed this training, you can adopt a site from our approved list and schedule an orientation site visit with us to get started!

You’ll receive this information in your email once you register, but here are the details:

  • Date: Thursday, September 19th, 2024
  • Time: 5:00-6:00pm
  • Location: 35 W. Main Avenue, Suite 210, Spokane, WA 99201
    • Parking: Street parking only! Must be paid at one of the kiosks.
    • Finding our office: Enter the main doors of the community building and head to the elevator. Go to the second floor and head straight out of the elevator to find our French office doors.
  • What to Bring:
    • A notebook if you like to take notes
