The Conservancy believes in the power of connecting people to nature. Our events are designed to give participants a unique view of lands we protect and an understanding of why they matter. We also work to instill the value of natural places in our community to raise up a human support structure for the earth here in the Inland Northwest.

Please join volunteer hike docent Joe Spitz for a hike at Waikiki Springs Nature Preserve on Sunday, March 8th, starting at 10 am.
Discover the sites of two historic dairy farms, Waikiki and Glen Tana, on this scenic hike. We’ll travel through a mix of Ponderosa pine forest and canyon terrain, with multiple viewpoints overlooking the Little Spokane River. Along the way, we’ll explore the area’s history—from the Spokane Tribe of Indians to present day—and make several stops to take in the scenery and stories.
Hike Details:
Distance: 4.5 miles
Difficulty: Moderate, with some uphill sections
