Events

The Conservancy believes in the power of connecting people to nature. Our events are designed to give participants a unique view of lands we protect and an understanding of why they matter. We also work to instill the value of natural places in our community to raise up a human support structure for the earth here in the Inland Northwest.

April 27 – Trails Through Time: Waikiki’s Geologic Story

Join docent Bernadine Bank with EWU Geology Professor Dr. Chad Pritchard on a trail walk through time, exploring Waikiki’s geological history on Sunday, April 27th, starting at 10 am.

The total distance of this moderate hike will be about 3 to 4 miles, taking approximately 2 hours depending on the group’s pace. Dress in layers and be prepared for possible rain. We will meet at the trailhead!

There 4 designated parking spaces at the trailhead that require a Discover Pass, but you can park on the street nearby.

See how nice the gneiss rocks are. That’s a little geology humor just to give you a taste of how much fun this hike will be 😉
