Sunday, November 19th: Liberty Lake Hike

Volunteer hike docent and avid birder, Brenda Day, will lead a guided hike at Liberty Lake on Sunday, November 19th starting at 10am.

This 4.5 mile hike will take between 3-3.5 hours to complete. It is rated an easy to moderate level hike. Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather as temperatures are dropping in the morning!

Saturday, December 2nd: Slavin Conservation Area Hike

Volunteer hike docent, Rick Hosmer, will lead a hike at the Slavin Conservation Area on Saturday, December 2nd starting at 10am.

This 3-4 mile hike will take approximately 3 hours. It is a gentle (flat) hike, with great views wetlands, ponds, and mature Ponderosa scabland forest. Bring binoculars, a camera, and a bird book if you have them. If it’s icy or snowy in town, micro-spikes and trekking poles (or ski poles) will be helpful.

Saturday, December 16th: Antoine Peak Hike

Volunteer hike docent, Rick Hosmer, will lead a hike at Antoine Peak on Saturday, December 16th starting at 11am.

We’ll be hiking the ‘“Summit Trail” to the top of the peak (3,374′), so there is 775 feet of elevation gain in a couple of miles. We’ll take it easy, with breaks when needed!
