Thursday, February 16: Volunteer Land Steward Training

If you are looking for ways to invest more deeply in local places you care about, consider becoming a Volunteer Land Steward for the Conservancy. This 1.5-hour training will show you how.

Wednesday, February 22: Waikiki Springs Nature Preserve Tree Thinning

Help the Conservancy improve the health of the forest and mitigate wildfire risk in our popular Waikiki Springs Nature Preserve on the Little Spokane River. No experience is required and tools are provided.

Saturday, March 4: Palisades Park Winter Wildlife Hike
Winter can be a fun time for exploring our environment for how plants and animals adapt to shorter days and colder temperatures. Ecologist Becky Brown, PhD decodes winter wildlife on this two-hour hike.

Wednesday, March 8: Springtime Garden Prep with Pat Munts

Join master gardener and author Pat Munts as she describes the important steps of preparing your garden for springtime here in the Inland Northwest. Come learn how to grow the tastiest tomatoes and provide succulent food sources for pollinators that will be visiting your garden this year.

Sunday, March 19: Saltese Flats Birding Hike

Thousands of migrating birds will travel through the Saltese Flats this spring. Bring your favorite binoculars or spotting scope for an unparalleled avian adventure in this thriving wetland, protected forever thanks to partnerships among Ducks Unlimited, Spokane County Parks, and the Conservancy.
