Shout out to our intern and volunteer – Geneva!

November 21, 2016

Geneva is a senior at Gonzaga University studying Environmental Studies and Biology. You can usually find her climbing at Rocks of Sharon or Minnehaha on a sunny day or trail running through Riverside State Park. When the snow starts to cover the rocks she is at Mt. Spokane before the sun is up getting in some backcountry lines before class.

Geneva’s passion for the environment is rooted in these activities! She believes that the land is made for the enjoyment of our contemplative faculties and reflective recreations. She feels a sense of duty to preserve our beautiful natural features for future generations. Geneva also holds a position as a guide for Gonzaga Outdoors allowing her to educate and inspire her peers to view the outdoors with the same sense of stewardship and respect she does. Geneva’s main role has been as liaison between Inland Northwest Land Conservancy and the University District Ecological Alliance. She also has assisted at Appetite for Conservation, the annual fundraiser for Inland Northwest Land Conservancy, as well as daily operations in the organization.

“Through INLC I have had the incredible opportunity to learn hands on about the conservation process and hope to continue my growth in this field.” –Geneva Mayall

Inland Northwest Land Conservancy is thankful for her service to our community and nature.
