After a long career in the National Park Service, Tom moved to Spokane last year because he was attracted to its wonderful natural environment. Tom’s National Park Service career took him to nine park sites across the country and the Caribbean. He has been involved in major public-private partnerships at Ellis Island and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. In addition, he worked extensively with land trusts while at the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. His wife, Betsy, serves on Spokane’s Historic Landmarks Commission and teaches historic preservation at Goucher College in Baltimore.Tom is excited about joining the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy board and continuing his volunteer work on conservation projects.
