Adopt-a-Highway Program
HWY 2 Milepost 264.42 to Milepost 266.86. – Reardan

In support of our Deep Creek Preserve and long-term vison of protecting the Crab Creek watershed, INLC is investing in being a good Reardan community member. This has and will continue to include direct economic support of Reardan businesses, educational support to the public and Reardan school district and now Adopting a Highway to help beautify the area.

The Adopt-a-Highway program is designed to sponsor the removal of trash from state highways. INLC has stepped forward to sponsor a section of Highway 2 just outside of Reardan. We will hold two clean-ups per year.

We are looking for ten volunteers and one volunteer leader/safety officer. Volunteers need to be fifteen years or older, or be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers must be able to walk 2.5 miles and pick up and carry light trash and garbage bags. To participate, volunteers will need to watch the attached video prior to receiving their vests and garbage bags. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBxIh67-l74.

Our first clean up date will be Sunday morning October 18th.

Tentatively from 9 to 11 am, followed by lunch in Reardan on INLC!

Please contact juddman@inlandnwland.org to get on the crew and get your free lunch.
