Rooted in Gratitude: Celebrating Our Outstanding Volunteers

September 26, 2025

Yesterday, we gathered at the Glen Tana Farmhouse to celebrate some of our favorite people – our volunteers! The annual Volunteer Appreciation Event, themed Rooted in Gratitude, allowed us to thank the 228 volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to support conservation and the protection of lands and waters across the Inland Northwest.

“Our volunteers are the heart of this organization,” shared Ben Sprague, Volunteer and Events Manager. “They give thousands of hours each year, helping to restore habitats, lead hikes, tell our story, and care for the places we all love. This evening was about recognizing their invaluable efforts and saying thank you.”

Every volunteer plays an important role in advancing conservation, and we are grateful for each person who gives their time and energy. During the event, we recognized a handful of volunteers who went above and beyond with awards celebrating their outstanding contributions.
